Dream:
I walked into band and all of the bands and orchestras I had ever played in were joined together in one giant rehearsal in a supermarket. Since the stage was too small for everyone, the flutes were all sest up in one of the aisles. We were also set up with one row facing another one, so my back was to the conductor on the stage. I chose a chair and then realized that I might have to play 2nd part when I was used to first. It's ok, though, because the song was easy. So we started rehearsing and since my back was to the conductor, I had to wait until the soud died down to know that we had stopped. I thought I was doing a pretty good job until the assistand band director yelled at me and Heather, who was sitting by me. I told him it was impossible to see! Also, there was a big display and column that was blocking my view. So I put the music on my lap and turned around anyway.
Up a little further, I noticed the bass clarinet was gone, and for some reason, I got up and started wandering. I happened to be in the bass clarinet aisle when the bass clarinet solo came up. I thought maybe I would give it a shot by ear. I definitely missed that one. Then I ran down the aisle and picked up this crazy gray wig that was blowing around and tried to put it on in time to run back down the aisle to play the next bass clarinet solo. All of a sudden, I was playing an oboe. I played the last note of the solo, and even that was wrong. So I didn't impress anyone, but nobody seemed to notice either.
